Chai of Madagascar – Exotic Green Honeybush Herbal Tea
Take a trip to the tropics with this fragrant herbal blend based on green honeybush. Inspired by the richness of Madagascar’s nature, this tea combines sweet orange, warming spices, and gentle cocoa and vanilla notes. Naturally caffeine-free – perfect for relaxing evenings.

Taste and aroma:
Smooth and warming with bright citrus, hints of cocoa and spice, and a soft floral finish.
Brewing instructions:
1 tsp per 200 ml of water
Water temperature: 95–100°C
Steep for 5–7 minutes
Can be re-steeped.

Summer Recipe:
1. “Madagascar Spice” Iced Tea
2 tsp of Chai of Madagascar tea
400 ml of hot water (95–100°C)
1 tsp of honey, maple syrup or coconut sugar (optional)
Ice cubes
A slice of orange
Star anise or a cinnamon stick (optional – for extra aroma)
Preparation:
Steep the tea in hot water for 7–10 minutes to let the spices fully infuse.
Strain and add a sweetener if desired.
Cool to room temperature, then chill in the fridge.
Serve in a glass with ice, an orange slice, and a warming spice.
Tip: Letting the tea steep cold for a few hours brings out a softer spice profile and brighter citrus notes — perfect for summer sipping.
2. Cold brew “Madagascar Sunset Spice”
This cold brew from Chai of Madagascar is a smooth and fragrant drink with a soft exotic touch. Green honeybush blends with spices, orange and vanilla, opening up beautifully in cold water.
Ingredients for 1 liter:
*1.5–2 tablespoons of tea
*1 liter of cold filtered water
*1–2 slices of orange (optional)
*ice for serving
*honey or agave syrup, to taste
Preparation:
Add the tea to a glass jar or bottle.
Fill with cold water.
Add orange slices if desired.
Let steep in the fridge for 8–12 hours (overnight is best).
Strain and serve with ice. Sweeten to taste if you wish.
Tip: pairs perfectly with almond milk for a refreshing cold tea latte.
