You will need:

  • 1.5–2 tablespoons of loose-leaf tea
  • 1 liter of cold filtered water
  • A glass jar or bottle with a lid
  • A refrigerator

Which teas are suitable for Cold Brew:

This method works best with:

  • green tea (especially Sencha, Jasmine, or with citrus)
  • white tea
  • oolong tea (such as milk oolong)
  • rooibos and honeybush
  • fruit and berry blends (especially those based on green or white tea)
  • floral and herbal blends, as long as they don’t contain very fine particles

How to prepare:

  1. Add the tea to your jar or bottle.
  2. Pour in the cold water.
  3. Close tightly and refrigerate for 6–10 hours (overnight is ideal).
  4. Strain, pour into glasses, and enjoy.

Flavor variations:

You can enhance the finished drink with:

  • ice
  • citrus slices (orange, lime, grapefruit)
